Leon Smith departure

Semestry announce that Leon Smith is to leave the company on November 7, 2017.

Leon has been Director of Services at Semestry since the beginning of 2016 and has provided his full support to the company and senior management team during that time.

He is leaving to take up the role of interim Head of Timetabling at Birmingham City University and a number of strategic consultancy engagements. Whilst we regret losing Leon, we respect his commitment to the HE sector and express our thanks for his contribution to establishing an ethos of service excellence and responsiveness to client requirements across the company.

Leon said “I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Semestry. To have the opportunity to work with such excellent professionals and play a part in shaping a young, vibrant company has been one of the most rewarding of my career. I am now looking forward to this next stage in my career.” He added, “I said when I first took up this post that I believed Semestry is the future, and I still believe that now. I look forward to seeing their continued success as they further establish themselves and their burgeoning reputation for timetabling excellence.”

Steve Harrison, Director, commented “Semestry has established itself as a significant entrant to the Higher and Further Education sectors with the reputation for delivering outstanding customer service. As we grow, we will continue to adhere to our customer focused culture that Leon was actively involved in defining. It has been exciting to work with Leon and the legacy he leaves and the exceptional talent we have at Semestry give me enormous confidence in our future.”
